Regina asking for residents feedback on ward boundary changes

The City of Regina is asking for residents’ feedback on its proposed Ward Boundary Review.

The review comes from the Municipal Wards Commission’s proposed change to ensure the city’s population is distributed evenly before the 2024 municipal election.

The proposed changes will impact all Regina wards, meaning some residents will vote in different wards.

Residents can provide feedback by visiting Regina.ca/wardboundary between March 13 and 24. They can also provide feedback at a public hearing meeting at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 20 and at an open house on Thursday, March 23, at 5:30 p.m.

The Commission will determine final ward boundaries and submit its decision to City Council in April 2023. The revised limits will come into effect for the 2024 municipal election.

To view the proposed ward boundary maps, residents can head online at Regina.ca/wardboundary as well as in person at City Hall, the Glencairn Neighbourhood Centre, RCMP Heritage Centre, Regina Public Library locations, and the TC Douglas Building.
