Pat Canadians defeat Contacts 5-1

 

The Regina Pat Canadians have taken a 2-1 series against the Saskatoon Contacts after a 5-1 win on Saturday afternoon in the second round of the SMAAAHL playoffs.

Saskatoon opened the scoring in the first period before the Pat Canadians closed out the period regaining the lead. Matthew Ronn and Casey Brown scored for Regina.

After a scoreless second period, the Pat Canadians put the game away with three third period goals. Kolten Bridgeman, Ryan McDonald and Ryan Zaremba picked up the goals.

John McPherson made 18 saves to pick up the win for Regina.

Game 4 of the series will go on Sunday in Saskatoon.
