The Regina Red Sox will soon have a new provincial rival in the Western Canadian Baseball League.
Saskatoon has been awarded an expansion franchise by the league for the 2024 season.

The team will be play out of Cairns Field, located inside of the Gordie Howl Sports Complex. The facility has an approximate capacity for 2,200 fans.
Between 2002-2014, the Saskatoon Yellowjackets competed in the Western Major Baseball League.
A website for the team is expected to be up and running shortly, as will various social media accounts.
