Regina man faces attempted murder charge after a shooting earlier this month.

A 27-year-old Regina man is facing an Attempted Murder charge after shooting a man.

Shortly before 3 a.m. on April 2, Police were called to the area of 11th Avenue and Quebec Street for a report of a weapons offence.

EMS arrived and tended to an adult male victim who had been shot and assaulted in a nearby residence.

The victim told officers he was in the residence on the 1700 Block of Quebec Street, when a group of three men entered the home and assaulted and shot him.

The victim was then transported to hospital where he received further treatment.

An investigation led by members of our Patrol Support Unit and Online Stolen Property Unit resulted in the arrest of 27-year-old Zachary Tomlin on April 16.

Tomlin is now facing an Attempted Murder charge.

Tomlin made his first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Court on April 17.
