The Battlefords North Stars finished off their dominating run in the 2023 SJHL Playoffs with a 7-4 win against the Flin Flon Bombers on Saturday night to claim the Canterra Seeds Cup for the SJHL Championship.

After dropping Game 1 in the first round against Weyburn, the North Stars rattled off 12 straight wins against the Red Wings, Melfort Mustangs and Flin Flon Bombers on their way to their second league title over the last four years.

Jordan Grill and Steven Kesserling each scored two goals in the North Stars series clinching win at the Whitney Forum.

Battlefords will now advance as the SJHL representative to the Centennial Cup that begins on May 11 in Portage La Prairie.
