Canada picked up an 8-3 win over Czechia at the 2023 IIHF World U18 Championships in Switzerland on Tuesday.

Regina Pats forward Tanner Howe had an assist while former Pats draft pick Matthew Wood led the scoring charge with a hat-trick.

The win was Canada’s third straight after suffering an 8-0 loss to Sweden to open the tournament.

Canada now advances to the quarter-finals which begin on Thursday.
