The Saskatchewan Roughriders announce their plans for the 2023 edition of training camp today. Next month, the Roughriders will return to Saskatoon for training camp on the campus of the University of Saskatchewan.
Rookie camp will take place from May 10-12 before main camp opens up on Sunday, May 14.
On Saturday, May 20, the annual Green and White Day will take place on Saturday, May 20. Along with the scrimmage, there will be entertainment for the whole family with many kids’ activities including face painting, music, inflatables, performances from the 620 CKRM Pep Band, 620 CKRM Rider Cheer Team, and of course, Gainer the Gopher.
Also on that day, Roughrider President and CEO Craig Reynolds, Vice President and General Manager Jeremy O’Day and Head Coach Craig Dickenson will give the State of the Nation address and host a fan Q & A at 1 p.m., followed by the Green and White game at 3 p.m.
Besides training camp, members of the Roughriders are scheduled to be involved in numerous community appearances in Saskatoon as well in the surrounding area before training camp begins in the Bridge City.
