“Drives like a brand new car”, Raffle for 1970 Charger is raising funds for the Cancer Foundation

An inspiring fundraiser has come to Regina at the Majestics 55th Annual Car Show.

Braydon Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer is raffling off a unique, rebuilt 1970 Dodge Charger RT Resto Mod for the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan.

The car is valued at $185,000.

Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer was started in 1998 by Greg and Leone Ottenbreit when their then 3-year-old son, Brayden, was diagnosed with cancer.

Brayden tragically passed away in 2000 but Greg and Leone continue to run the head shave event, and other fundraisers, to raise funds in support of Saskatchewan cancer patients.

Over the last 25 years, Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer has raised more than $1M for cancer initiatives in Saskatchewan.

This is the first time the Ottenbreits are raffling off a car.

It was donated to them by a group of private donors.

“This remarkably kind donation will help to both raise significant funds for cancer care here in Saskatchewan and also help to raise awareness of the importance of donating to organizations like Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer and the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan, which ensure that all funds raised stay in Saskatchewan to support cancer patients and their families in this province,” says Greg Ottenbreit.

Raffle ticket prices are one for $50, three for $100, and ten tickets for $250.

“It drives like a brand new car. You’ve got the looks and the feel of an older but yet you’ve got a brand new car. it’s fuel-injected and runs and drives like a brand new car today,” says Dave Kerr with Knight Auto.

The Ottenberits and Kerr are touring Saskatchewan car shows this summer with the charger allowing people to take a look, fall in love, and partake in the raffle.

The car shows they will be attending are:

• June 10, TnT Rods 20th Annual Show n Shine, Estevan.
• June 18, Those Guy’s Car Club Show n Shine, Moose Jaw.
