All suspects arrested after deadly assault in Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan RCMP say all suspects connected to a fatal assault on a First Nation northwest of Saskatoon are now in custody.

Mounties say they have arrested two of the suspects and the third turned himself in last week after Quin Squair was assaulted on April 18 on Saulteaux First Nation, 210 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.

Squair later died in hospital of his injuries.

Five people have been charged in connection to Squair’s death and they all face second-degree murder charges.

All of the accused have appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court.

RCMP say they worked with the Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team and the North Battleford Gang Task Force to locate the suspects.
