Pats Suzdalev Named WHL Rookie of the Month for April

One more honour for a Pats player from the WHL.

With the calendar turning to May the Western Hockey League announced Regina Pats forward Alexander Suzdalev has been named the Rookie of the Month for April.

Suzdalev had three multi-point games in April including a two-goal performance April 8 versus the Saskatoon Blades.

He finished the 2023 WHL Playoffs with 10 points (3G-7A) over the thrilling seven game series with Saskatoon.

In the regular season, he led all WHL rookies in goals (38), assists (48), points (86), power play goals (17), and power play assists (19).

Suzdalev was named WHL Rookie of the month twice during the regular season in December and February, the only player to win the award multiple times during the season.

The Pats season came to end after losing in the first playoff round to the Saskatoon Blades.
