Its been a while since fans have been able to roll into Mosaic Stadium and watch the Roughriders play. Saturday, the Riders play their first pre season game, with the BC Lions providing the opposition.
It will be “Community Culture Night”, where they will be special performances throughout the game to show off the diverse cultural backgrounds in our great province.
Pre-game, there will be international entertainment for the “Coors Light Party In the Park” and even a special autograph session with all stars Derrick Moncrief and Derel Walker.
The gates to the stadium will swing open at 3:30pm for people to get to their seats and catch some of the on field entertainment featuring special artists and performers. The half time show will take you around the world in 30 minutes with performances by Salsa Colada, The Regina Highland Dancers and the llongo group.
Kids are invited to run on the field after the game as well.
This is also the first time the Riders will offer up an affordable options menu, with items starting at $5.00 at vendors all around the stadium.
There are many ways to get to the stadium. The bike valet is back for people who would like to cycle to the game it opens at 3pm.
Rider Transit will be running from the usual pick up points Southland Mall, U of R, Warehouse District, The Delta Hotel, Victoria Ave and Scarth Street, and the Turvey Centre. The service starts 2 hours and 45 minutes before kick off. So for this weekend, the service will start running at at 2:45pm.
