Final Cuts Made To Rider Roster Ahead of Season Opener

The training camp, and two pre season games has brought the start of the CFL regular season that much closer, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders had to make their cuts to get the roster down to the required number before the trip to Edmonton to open the season.

This morning, all of the roster moves were announced:

As for the newest signee, American offensive linemen Colin Kelly, he was recently in mini-camp with the NFL’s New Orleans Saints.  He played in the XFL this past season with the Seattle Sea Dragons, where he was named an all-star.  He has plenty of CFL experience as well, starting 50 games with the Edmonton Elks between 2017 and 2022, before being traded to the Tiger-Cats early last season.

The Riders open up the 2023 CFL Season Sunday June 11th in Edmonton.  620CKRM will have full coverage, starting with “Countdown to Kick-off” at 2:00 pm.
