Saskatoon University MLA Jennifer Bowes announced that she will not seek re-election for the 2024 provincial general election.
“It has been a great honour to serve the people of Saskatoon University,” said Bowes. “I want to sincerely thank my constituents for placing their trust in me and for allowing me the incredible privilege of advocating on their behalf. While I have made the decision not to run for re-election after considerable deliberation and with mixed emotions, I look forward to continuing to serve the remainder of my term.
“I will continue to devote my remaining time as the MLA for Saskatoon University, pushing for a just and equitable province for all Saskatchewan people. And then I’ll look forward to a new set of adventures with my wonderful partner,” she continued.
Bowes joins MLA for Cumberland Doyle Vermette as Sask. NDP incumbent MLAs who are not seeking re-election.
Saskatoon MLAs Betty Nippi-Albright, Matt Love, Vicki Mowat, Erika Ritchie, and Nathaniel Teed will all seek re-election, with Regina MLAs Meara Conway, Nicole Sarauer, Trent Wotherspoon, and Aleana Young also seeking re-election.
