Esterhazy RCMP are investigating what they’re calling a suspicious death.

Sunday, Esterhazy’s RCMP detachment were asked to conduct a wellness check on a man at a rural residence in the northeast part of their detachment area.

Officers went to the residence and located a deceased man inside.

The man’s death is being investigated as a homicide by Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes.

Investigators are working to identify the man, with the assistance of the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service.

Investigators do not believe this suspicious death is connected with a February 2023 homicide in the Stockholm/Esterhazy area, and do not believe there is an increased risk to public safety.
