The Regina Pats utilized both of their selections in the 2023 CHL Import Draft.
On Wednesday, the Pats used the 36th overall selection and picked goalie Ewan Huet.
Huet is a dual citizen of Switzerland and France, and is the son of former NHL goalie, Cristobal, who won a Stanley Cup championship with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2012.
Last season with Lausanne U20, the 6’0 netminder played in 31 games with a 14-12-2 record and G.A.A. of 2.72.
The 2005-born goaltender has represented Switzerland in international tournaments.
With their second round selection, Regina picked Norwegian defenceman Stian Solberg with the 96th pick.
The 2005-born defenceman spent last season in Norway with Valerenga and had four points (1G-3A) in 18 games. He also represented Norway at the World Junior U18 Championships.
