The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added another National offensive lineman with the signing of Jacob Szott.
This season, the 6’4 299 lb. lineman from Toronto suited up for three games with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
In the 2020 CFL Draft, the 24-year-old was selected by the Ottawa REDBLACKS in the fourth round. He started 12 games at left guard for Ottawa in 2021 and split the 2022 season on the REDBLACKS and Montreal Alouettes practice rosters.
Szott spent four seasons (2016-19) at McMaster University. The former Marauder was named a Second-Team All-OUA All-Star in 2019.
