- .500 Mark. The Roughriders will try to move closer to the .500 mark at home all-time against the Stampeders. They’re 56-58-4 at home against the Stampeders in Regina.
- Alberta Control. Saskatchewan can clinch a season series against an Alberta opponent this week, after claiming the series against Edmonton last week, a win against Calgary on Saturday would clinch the series against the Stampeders. The last time Saskatchewan won the season series against Calgary in 2018.
- Close Calls. The Roughriders three victories in 2023 have come by a combined margin of 8 points. A change from last season when the Roughriders were 0-3 in games decided by 4 points or less.
- Tackling Machine. Larry Dean has gotten off to a strong start in 2023, over the last three games the linebacker has compiled 28 tackles, his largest three game total in his career.
- Milestones vis Air. Trevor Harris is on the verge of reaching 30,000 passing yards for his career in the CFL. The Riders quarterback needs 231 passing yards to reach the milestone.
- Rare Stumble. For the first time in his career, Stampeders quarterback Jake Maier enters Saturday’s contest on the heels of a consecutive
- Booming Punts. Saskatchewan punter Adam Korsak leads the league with 50.9 yard punting average.
- Running Attacks. The ground game should be a factor for both teams. Saskatchewan and Calgary have averaged over 100 rushing yards this season (Calgary-107.8 Saskatchewan-105.5).
- Similar Defenders. Defensively the two teams have been produced similar numbers this season. In terms of points allowed, the Stampeders have allowed 93 points, while Saskatchewan has given up 95 points.
