- Century Matchup. Today is the 100th time the Saskatchewan Roughriders will meet the Toronto Argonauts during the Canadian Football League regular season. Saskatchewan leads the series 55-43-1.
- Success with a Suitcase. This will be the 50th time the Argonauts are the home team for the matchup, with Saskatchewan owning a 27-22 record in road matchups against Toronto.
- Touchdown Atlantic. Today will be the Roughriders second appearance (0-1) in Touchdown Atlantic while the Argonauts are making their third (1-1).
- Rematch. The two teams met in Wolfville, Nova Scotia last year with the Argos winning 30-24 thanks to Argos LB Wynton McManis pick-six in the 4th quarter.
- Fast Start. Toronto will try and begin their season with their sixth straight win against the Roughriders. The only time the team accomplished that mark in the CFL was in 1935.
- Taking Control. Argos QB Chad Kelly has won five straight starts this year, the last Argos QB that did that was Michael Bishop when he won seven in a row in 2007.
- Finding Paydirt. Saskatchewan was unable to reach the endzone last week against BC in their 19-9 loss. That snapped a streak of 24 games where the Roughriders scored a point.
- Last week the green and white were 4 for 23 on second down against the Lions.
- Stingy D. Over the last three games, Saskatchewan’s defence has allowed three touchdowns over 44 possessions (11%).
- Numbers Tell the Story. In their five victories, the Argos has won the turnover battle in each contest and they have averaged better starting field position than their opponents in each of the first five victories.
