It was reported that he will wait until the midpoint of the National Football League preseason before signing a contract with a CFL team. It’s also reported that two teams have already made the former all-star an offer.
Last season, Sankey set a new franchise record for tackles in a single season (120).
Before joining the Roughriders, the San Jose, California product spent a season in Calgary and led the league in tackles in 2021 (98).
The Renegades claimed the XFL Championship this past season.
