The ice at the Brandt Centre is in, and soon the sounds of hockey will return to the home of the Regina Pats. The Pats have announced their schedule, and roster for camp which gets underway on Thursday morning when the “rookie camp” gets underway. There will be practices for a couple of days before the main camp begins Saturday. Training Camp rolls until the traditional Blue and White game set for Tuesday September 5th. After playing some pre-season games, the Pats will open the 2023-2024 campaign on the road in Brandon on Friday, September 22nd, with the first home game being the next night September 23rd, at Brandt Centre against the Saskatoon Blades.
Its a wide open field at training camp, as the team will be without superstar Connor Bedard who was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round of the NHL Draft. The team has some key talent returning, including forward Tanner Howe. The team is also moving forward with a new coach behind the bench, and a new GM after John Paddock retired at the end of last season.
