Changes made to Riders lineup for Labour Day rematch

The Saskatchewan Roughriders depth chart has been released ahead of Saturday’s Labour Day rematch.

Most of the changes were expected following Thursday’s injury report with Guard Evan Johnson, Tackle Colin Kelly and Safety Jayden Dalke ruled out of the lineup.

Johnson (foot) has been placed on the one-game injured list, while Dalke (knee) and Kelly (knee) are on the six-game injured list.

Quarterback Mason Fine (hamstring) has been moved to the one-game injured list after he was on the six-game injured list over the last two games.

Running back Frankie Hickson will miss the Labour Day rematch due to an illness.

Defensive back C.J. Reavis will return to the roster after missing the Labour Day Classic.

Also back in the green and white lineup are Albert Awachie, and Brandon Council, who is making his first start since July 29.

A pair of Roughriders making their 2023 debut on Saturday will be offensive lineman Zack Fry and defensive lineman Cody Roscoe.

Fry will be the backup with Logan Bandy replacing Johnson at left guard. While Roscoe will fill a spot usually occupied by Pete Robertson, who is out due to a one-game suspension for a headbutt against Blue Bombers QB Zach Collaros.
