Regina Police asking for help with stolen wheelchair and sports equipment

The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s help following a break-in to a trailer belonging to the Saskatchewan Wheelchair Sports Association.

On the morning of September 5, a staff member with the association noticed that the trailer door had been broken into.

Employees reported that multiple pieces of equipment were missing from inside the trailer.

The value of these items is in the tens of thousands of dollars, and they are extremely specialized pieces of equipment for athletes with disabilities.

Among the missing equipment:

  • Five sport wheelchairs,
  • 12 rugby balls,
  • 12 basketballs,
  • 12 hockey sticks and
  • Two bags

Police say at the break-in time, the trailer was located in a parking lot in the 500 block of Park Street and happened between September 3 and September 5.
