Blades beat Pats 6-2 in pre-season action

The Saskatoon Blades picked up a 6-2 win over the Regina Pats in an exhibition matchup on Wednesday night at the Brandt Centre.

It was a tied 2-2 midway through the third period before the Blades added four late goals for the victory.

Tanner Howe and Tye Spencer provided the scoring for the Pats.

Regina goalie Kelton Pyne made 17 saves.

On Friday, the Pats will wrap up the pre-season when they head to Prince Albert to meet the Raiders.

The Pats will open the regular season next weekend, on Friday they head to Brandon for the season opener. The following night, the Pats will hold their home opener against the Blades.
