The Regina Pats will head north as they conclude the pre-season tonight with a matchup against the Prince Albert Raiders.
In three preseason games, the Pats are 0-2-1, as they’re coming off a 6-2 loss on Wednesday night at the Brandt Centre against the Saskatoon Blades. Tanner Howe and Tye Spencer provided the scoring for Regina.
The penalty kill for the Pats has been stellar in the pre-season as they’ve been perfect through three games (14 for 14). Regina is one of three WHL teams that have not allowed a powerplay goal during the pre-season.
On the other side, Prince Albert has started off with a pair of victories in the pre-season, following a pair of wins against the Saskatoon Blades.
The Pats and Raiders will meet six times during the regular season, with the first encounter set for Prince Albert in two weeks (Friday, September 29.)
Prince Albert’s first trip to the Queen City is set for Wednesday, November 1.
Regina will begin the regular season next Friday in Brandon, with their home opener set for the following night against Saskatoon.
