Air Quality Issues Persist in Saskatchewan

Environment and Climate Change Canada have issued a special statement on Air Quality. Smoke from wildfires has blanketed Saskatchewan from North to South. The extreme eastern portions of the province, and the south west are not included, but pretty much everywhere else is.

Smoke from wildfires will gradually push eastward across parts of the province today and tonight, resulting in poor air quality and reduced visibility. The smoke will clear out from west to east and throughout Tuesday morning.

As of 3:00 pm Monday, the air quality in and around Regina was rated at six on a scale that has one being good, and ten being very high risk. Its between the moderate and high risk categories.

By Tuesday night, air quality should improve to a rating of two, as cooler air is moving into the area.
