46-year-old Strasbourg man arrested for sexual offences involving minor

On Sep. 16, Southey RCMP received a report of suspicious activity at a residence in Strasbourg.

Police attended the residence Sunday with a search warrant, and seized a number of devices.  

On those devices, investigation determined messages of a sexual nature were exchanged between an adult and a person under the age of 16.

A 46-year-old man from Strasbourg was arrested and charged with child luring, invitation to sexual touching and possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Police won’t be releasing the suspect’s name to help protect the identity of the youth victim or victims.

He appeared in provincial court today. The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation unit, Saskatchewan RCMP, and the digital forensics services unit are continuing to investigate.
