The Saskatchewan RCMP sounding the alarm concerning online conduct of young people in the province, a concern that has intensified following the arrest of a 29-year-old man hailing from Regina.
The individual faces charges of sexual assault, sexual interference, and the possession of child pornography – all stemming from alleged contact with victims on SnapChat.
An exhaustive investigation led authorities to a residence in West Kelowna, British Columbia. It was there that law enforcement apprehended the suspect, and seized electronic devices.
It is alleged that the accused utilized Snapchat as a conduit to initiate contact with unsuspecting young victims. Investigators fear that there may be more victims of abuse involved as it’s alleged the 29 year old used 3 different SnapChat handles, “Maximum_MAX11,” “MaxxyMaxlove,” and “Stretch_Enjoyer,” all linked to the accused.
