There is a lot going on in Rider Nation.
The death of Rider legend George Reed has brought even more significance to “Legends Night” at Mosiac Stadium.
The team will be celebrating the latest inductees into the “Plaza of Honour”, and remembering Reed.
This is also the “Purolator Tackle Hunger” game, where fans are encouraged to bring a non perishable food item to the game. The Grey Cup will be on display in Confederation Park before the game, as part of the pre-game “party in the park” . People will be able get a picture of themselves with the Grey Cup, and while there is no charge, people are asked to make a cash or food donation for the food bank.
Party in the Park will get underway at 2 o’clock with the usual assortment of games, food, drinks and entertainment. Some of the Rider legends returning for the “Legends Game” will be in the park signing autographs.
Fans are asked to file into the stadium a little early and be in their seats by 4:50 pm, for a pre-game tribute to Reed.
At halftime, the Saskatchewan Roughriders will induct Wendy Kelly, SaskTel Plaza of Honour’s first woman inductee to go in as an individual AND the entire 2013 Grey Cup Team. You will get a chance to hear from select members of the 2013 Team about what that special night in November meant to them when they captured the 101st Grey Cup at home at Historic Mosaic Stadium
In honour of the 10th anniversary of the Grey Cup victory, the Riders are giving away 5,000 2013 Replica Grey Cup Rings! Gates open at 3:30 p.m. and the first 5,000 fans through any of the four main gates can pick up their ring at Customer Service located at each gate.

After this game, the Riders have just one home game remaining for the season. That is two weeks from now, when the green and while welcome in the high flying Toronto Argonauts.
On the radio, 620 CKRM’s “Countdown to Kickoff” will hit the air at 2 o’clock. The “Rider Nation Pre-Game Show” follows at 4:00pm. Michael Ball and Luc Mullinder will have kick off and play by play for you at 5:00pm.
