The Regina Pats and Spokane Chiefs completed a trade on Thursday.
Regina acquired 2004-born defenceman Jaren Brinson along with third-round choice in 2024 and a second-round pick in 2025 in exchange for 2004-born defenceman Layton Feist.
Brinson has played in six games with the Chiefs this season. He has split time over seasons in Spokane, Prince George and Winnipeg recording 19 points (5G-14A) and 146 career games. The 6-foot-3, 185 lb. left-shot defenceman had ten points (3G-7A) with the Chiefs and ICE last season.
Feist had five points (2G-3A) in eight games with the Pats. Since making his debut in Regina with 2020, the Dawson Creek B.C., product has played in 164 career games and has collected 59 points (17G-42A) during that time. Last year, the 19-year-old played in all 68 games with the Pats.
