The University of Regina Rams (1-6) couldn’t hang on to the lead on Saturday as the UBC Thunderbirds (5-2) came from behind to defeat the Rams 31-20.
Regina opened up with a 14-0 lead with QB Noah Pelletier and RB Marshall Erichsen provided the early touchdowns for the Rams.
The Thunderbirds took the lead with the 14 unanswered points to begin the second half.
Aldo Galvin closed the cap within four points with his second field goal but the Thunderbirds added a late touchdown for an 11-point win.
Rams QB Owen Sieben was 22/32 for 217 passing yards.
Erichsen had 130 rushing yards for the green and gold.
UBC QB Garrett Rooker was 16/20 for 346 passing yards and three touchdowns.
The Rams will finish off their season on Saturday when they host the University of Saskatchewan Huskies at Mosaic Stadium.
