The Regina Pats have traded 2005-born defenceman Carter Herman to the Saskatoon Blades. In return, the Pats will receive a seventh-round pick in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.
Herman, 18, recorded no points in 11 games with the Pats this season.
With Corbin Vaughan set to return from his suspension and Kolten Bridgeman nearing a return from injury, the Pats were faced with a sudden logjam at the blueline.
Regina returns to action on Friday when they begin a five-game road trek in Swift Current. Coverage on 620 CKRM begins at 6:35, opening faceoff at 7:00.
