Firefighters in Yorkton were called to a structure fire Thursday night at Yorkton Exhibition grounds. One of the equine barns north of the Gallagher Centre went up in flames and is considered a complete loss.
According to the Yorkton Agriculture and Industrial Exhibition Association, the barn was over 100 years old and was considered a favourite of the RCMP’s Musical Ride. The neighbouring barn was not affected by the fire.
Nobody was injured in the fire and the cause remains under investigation.
