The Frost Festival is set to return to four hubs across the city of Regina. From January 26th to February 4th, 2024 Frost will be taking place in the Warehouse District, Regina Downtown, The Real District and Wascana.
This year offers something for everyone with the return of fan favorite events – and some new things to see and do around the city.
In the Warehouse District Rebellion brewing will be hosting entertainment through the run of the festival – with a snowsuit drag show on February the 3rd featuring drag superstar Denali of RuPaul’s Darg Race fame. Fans will also have the opportunity to skate alongside Denali as part of the event at the railyards and Rebellion Brewing.
Glow will be returning to the REAL District with an all new show presented by SaskTel, captivating visitors with a mesmerizing Fairy-tale magic theme. The Real District will also feature a variety of entertainers throughout the 10 days.
Frost at Wascana will feature dogsled races, horse drawn wagon rides, and the family fun zone.
Frost Downtown will feature a public rink, Public skating on the Rink at City Square, Crokicurl, Frost Art Walk, and Frost After Dark at Regina’s downtown pubs.
Last year’s festival brought more than 80,000 people to the events. Something Mayor Sandra Masters says showcases Regina as a winter city.
“This has truly become a winter tradition. We know how to celebrate and embrace Regina as a Winter City. Frost encourages residents to get out and explore these different areas of our city. We’ve seen businesses, restaurants, and pubs get involved – this is your chance to get out and discover something new to love local about Regina.”
The event takes an army of volunteers – with Mayor Sandra Masters encouraging Regina residents to volunteer. “We need to put out the call” she said.
