Pats salvage a point in Red Deer

The Regina Pats grabbed a point in Red Deer on Saturday night thanks to a 5-4 shootout loss to the Rebels.

Regina was trailing by two goals in the final frame, before the Regiment staged a comeback sending the game into overtime.

Tanner Howe had two goals to put him at the 20-goal mark for the season. Borya Valis (1G-1A) and Aaron Krestanowich also scored.

Braxton Whitehead and Parker Berge both had two assists on the night. Kelton Pyne made 36 saves in the loss.

Kai Uchacz (1G-2A), Frantisek Formanek (1G-2A), Jace Weir and Kalan Lind (1G-1A) provided the scoring for the Rebels.

The Pats have grabbed three of a possible four points through the first two games of their road trip through Alberta.

Regina will play their final game before the Christmas in Edmonton against the Oil Kings.
