The Regina Pats won’t have too much time to reflect on last night’s loss in Moose Jaw, as the Brandon Wheat Kings visit Brandt Centre tonight.
The Pats were down 3-0 going into the third period, when they started at bit of a push. Zane Rowan scored at 2:25 of the third period. The Pats inched closer when Boyra Valis notched his 12th of the season, but that was as close as Regina would get.
The Warriors Ethan Semeniuk scored with just under four minutes left to put Moose Jaw up for good. Brayden Schuurman scored his second goal of the game on a rebound at 17:08 to put the final nail in the coffin.
Pats goalie Kelton Payne made 37 saves on 42 shots.
The Regina Pats will play Brandon to wrap up 2023 at Brandt Centre tonight. Pregame starts at 6:35 with the face-off coming at 7:00pm.
The Pats will get a chance for some revenge against the Warriors, when Moose Jaw visits the Brandt Centre on New Year’s Day.
That game has a 4:00 face off on Monday afternoon.
