The Regina Pats have traded defenceman Jaren Brinson to the Victoria Royals in exchange for sixth round pick in 2025 and a ninth round pick in 2027.
The 19-year-old has five points (1G-4A) in 33 games split between the Pats and Spokane Chiefs.
“With our recent moves, we were carrying nine defencemen and needed to address our numbers,” Regina Pats VP, Hockey Operations and GM Alan Millar said. “Jaren has played well for us, and I’m pleased he has an opportunity with a good team in Victoria. We thank Jaren for his time with our hockey club and wish him the best.”
The Pats will meet Victoria tonight at the Brandt Centre.
