#Curling amps up with the #Scotties #MontanasBrier and #FROST
Try it, you just might like it.

Underway in Tisdale the 2024 Viterra Scotties Women’s Provincial Championship. Yes, it is that time of year when curlers start to make their push toward events like the Scotties, the Brier, Worlds and ultimately representing Canada at the Olympics.

Whether you have tried the sport or not, curling is a fun and social activity. Competitive curling or recreational, you’ll meet new people, up your fitness level and be assured you’ll be following the game outside of playing it. As a spectator, this chess on ice game is rewarding to watch for the intensity, the intricate shots and the team dynamics.

This year at Regina’s FROST Winter Festival there will be two chances to try curling in a whole new way. Crokicurl and inflatable/floor curling.

Crokicurl takes place on a large frozen circle with curling stones, yet adheres to the rules of the crokinole, including the posts that guard the bullseye. Players alternate turns shooting their rocks trying to score 5, 10, 15 and the button score of 20 points. And just like the real sport, try out floor curling to catch curling fever. With the Montana’s Brier looming, who doesn’t want to try their hand at the sport!

Inflatable or floor curling is for all ages, all abilities and should be a hit!
