Frost Opening Ceremony Set for Friday

The Frost Regina Festival is set to open 10 days of winter fun!

The opening ceremony for the festival is set to take place January 26th at Pat Fiacco Plaza in Regina’s downtown.

A number of special guests and dignitaries will be on hand for the event – which will also see a performance from the Rising Youth Troupe Dancers – a group comprised of Ranch Ehrlo youth, and chili courtesy the Ramada Plaza Downtown.

The Provincial Capital Commission also announced the opening of the Rink on Wascana for its third season, located at the Legislative Landing in front of the Provincial Legislative Building.

Open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., this free outdoor rink offers a picturesque skating experience with lighting, warming facilities, and regular safety measures in place.

The rink is part of the Wascana Hub for Frost Regina, Jan. 26 to Feb. 4.

Free dog sled rides are to be available also this Saturday and Sunday.

Kickoff from Pat Fiacco Plaza is at 6:30 – admission for the event is free!
