The Regina Pats faced another defeat on Saturday night, marking their third consecutive loss as the Swift Current Broncos secured a 6-2 victory.
The Broncos’ offence proved too much for the Pats, outshooting them 46-21 throughout the contest.
The Pats found themselves tied at two goals apiece after the first period, thanks to goals from Zach Moore (6) and Anthony Wilson (7).
However, the second period saw the Broncos pull away, outshooting Regina 22-7 and scoring three times, including two goals from Matthew Ward.
With the victory, the Broncos wrapped up the season series against the Pats, winning six out of the seven matchups and outscoring Regina 28-13 overall.
For the Pats, the loss places them seven points behind the final playoff spot with only 13 games remaining in the season.
Looking ahead, Regina aims to return to winning form as they host the Calgary Hitman in a Family Day matchup at the Brandt Centre, with puck drop scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
