Produced by Wavelength Entertainment, in partnership with Creative Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA), this docuseries provides a gripping narrative of wildland firefighters and First Nation responders protecting the north.
Set to premiere on March 5, 2024, at 10 p.m. CST on Citytv Saskatchewan, the six-episode season explores the challenges faced during the intense 2023 wildfire season.
“2023 saw unprecedented wildfire activity across Canada. It has been remarkable telling the stories of those dedicated brave individuals tasked with protecting human life, communities and resources throughout Saskatchewan’s north,” Wavelength Entertainment Producer Chris Triffo said. “We thank Citytv Saskatchewan, Creative Saskatchewan, the SPSA and SFNEM for partnering with us to tell these exciting stories.”
With an investment of $280,000 from Creative Saskatchewan, the series is not only an immersive storytelling experience but also a significant economic contributor, with an estimated $1.2 million positive impact on the province.
