What is the most pressing agriculture-related issue for farmers ahead of the provincial election?
That’s the question being asked by the Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan (APAS) as they’re conducting a survey of what issue is top of mind for farmers. APAS President Ian Boxall encourages producers to participate.
“Fill out the survey so we know what we need to be working on and what we need to be lobbying the government for as we go into an election this year in Saskatchewan.” Boxall said.
Boxall says the answer is up to the producer, whether its details from this week’s Crop Insurance Program announcement or drought preparedness via upgrades to water infrastructure, drainage, or irrigation, to name a few examples.
“We want to make sure that we are doing what producers need done in this province,” he said.
There is no set deadline for the survey at this time. You can access the link to the survey by clicking here.
