I did not know that going to the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities annual convention could be so much fun!
There are the meetings where the delegates gather and discuss resolutions and have break-out sessions, listen to speakers and much more when it comes to Saskatchewan’s RM’s. However, I was interested in stopping by the TRADE SHOW.
Pens, pens, pens. Bags, eye glass cleaner, ball caps, candy, brochures and conversation with service providers like Municipal Hail Insurance, STARS, Saskatchewan Library Association to name just a few of the folks I spoke to. It is always good to meet new people and learn about their products, as well as those that we talk about and work with throughout the year.
Sara Heglund-Davis came from Cabri, Saskatchewan with her booth filled with some very neat bunny-hugs and t-shirts. FARM LIFE is her product line, the bunny-hugs (hoodies) have a soft feel and the graphic design is great. Look for her products at the SARM Convention or go on line to order www.farmlifesk.com Follow her on other platforms such as Facebook & Instagram. Support Local!
On the other hand of buying and selling, we have our partners in business McDougall Auctions. The business keeps growing across Canada. Again, you cannot beat local. Jeff and Tim had time to say hello and invite everyone to stop by the booth or just head to McDougall Auctions website. We have worked with the McDougall Team over the years at Agribition, Ag in Motion, Farm Progress Show as well as on location sales that they have facilitated.
A relaxed atmosphere at the SARM Convention, it is a boost to meet people from all over the province and see our 620 CKRM listeners from one side of the province to the other. (Gloria Evans)
