A 24-year-old is facing multiple charges after an attempted robbery late last week.

The incident involved a man suspect allegedly armed with a firearm. According to reports, a man entered the business and was observed possessing items from the establishment. The individual then purportedly brandished what appeared to be a firearm towards an employee before departing the premises without the items or further altercation.

Law enforcement swiftly arrived at the scene and located an adult man fitting the suspect’s description nearby. The individual was apprehended without resistance, and upon his arrest, authorities discovered the suspect in possession of a firearm.

As a result, a 24-year-old is facing multiple charges, including armed robbery using a restricted firearm or prohibited firearm, disguise with intent, and carrying concealed weapons, as well as two other charges.

The 24-year-old is set to appear in Provincial Court for his initial hearing on Monday, April 1.
