RCAF To Perform Flyover of Regina

The Royal Canadian Airforce will be part of a ceremony marking the unveiling of a statue in Normandy, France later this summer.

The RCAF will be sending two CT 155 Harvard II Aircraft in a flyover at the legislature Saturday afternoon.

The planes from 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School at CFB Moose Jaw will fly over the legislature, and the war memorial at 500 feet, before gaining altitude again.

The statue is to commemorate the Royal Regina Rifles, and celebrates the relationship between that regiment and the RCAF, both of whom, played pivotal roles on D-Day, 80 years ago this June.
