There is an alarming trend of junk food becoming a regular meal for a lot of families .
While indulging in the occasional treat is completely normal and acceptable, relying on processed, high-sugar, high-sodium foods as a primary source of sustenance can have serious consequences for our overall health and well-being.
Junk food is often lacking in essential nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, and fiber, which are crucial for maintaining a strong immune system, proper digestion, and overall energy levels. Additionally, the high levels of added sugars and unhealthy fats found in many junk foods can contribute to weight gain, insulin resistance, and an increased risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and certain types of cancer.
It is important for us to educate ourselves and others about the negative impact of consuming excessive amounts of junk food on our health. By making more conscious choices and prioritizing whole, nutrient-dense foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats, we can fuel our bodies properly and support our long-term health goals.
The real problem is that junk food is cheaper than eating healthy! My problem is portions. I want more than what I need. I’m trying to work on that one.
Remember, food is fuel, and we deserve to give ourselves the best possible fuel to thrive and live our best lives. #healthyeating #wellness #nutrition #junkfood #balance
Between cost and quality shopping isn’t fun anymore….just my thought.
