Congratulations, you are a lucky ticket holder of an evening with Regina and Moose Jaw youth in mind. An event that will raise money to support the programming that the YMCA does for youth wellness and discovering the potential in community youth.
Food, beverage and a memorable performance by The Garage Band is how the evening unfolds. The Garage Band has been apart of the Regina music scene for a few years now raising funds initially to support founding band member, John Hopkins and his journey with cancer. Hopkins was able to see the band make a significant donation to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre before passing away in 2022 of prostate cancer. Now, the band lives on and continues to make significant contributions to the community including this upcoming event.
Music for the Mind is being held on Friday, May 24th at the Conexus Arts Centre. And while it is a sold out event, it should be mentioned that you can still support the Y’s fundraising efforts.
Steve Compton, the YMCA’s CEO has details on what the event means to the two communities youth and programming.
The Garage band members are: Murad Al Katib, Steve Compton, Michael Fougere, Frank Hart, Brad Vance.
