Can we just take a moment to appreciate the simple joy that comes with a brand new box of crayons? I don’t know about you, but there’s something about those perfectly pointed crayons that just makes me want to unleash my inner artist and start coloring everything in sight.

Even at 38 years old, I can’t resist the allure of a fresh box of crayons. And let me tell you, when we were on vacation recently, those crayons were a lifesaver in keeping the kiddos entertained in the hotel room. There’s just something so nostalgic and comforting about sitting down with a new coloring book and a set of vibrant crayons.

Whether you’re coloring inside the lines or letting your creativity run wild, there’s a sense of freedom and relaxation that comes with the simple act of coloring. I’ve been colouring a ton lately with markers, but I think I need to get me some new crayons, or just sneak the kids. I’m finding it’s a great way to zone out at night, doing something other than doom scrolling on my phone. Plus, who doesn’t love the feeling of accomplishment when you finish a masterpiece?
