A 28-year-old is facing firearm charges after police caught him hiding a weapon.
Early Wednesday morning, police were attending an unrelated call for service when they observed a man bicycling nearby while blaring loud music. The man appeared to be concealing a large weapon under his jacket.
Police commanded the man to shop, but he attempted to bike away, and officers were able to apprehend him.
A search of the man revealed a loaded firearm. He was identified and found to be in breach of curfew and conditions not to possess firearms or ammunition.
As a result, the 28-year-old is facing charges with various firearm offences and made his first court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
