CURLSASK has announced that they’ll be moving to a nine team format for boththe Men’s and Women’s Provincial Championships for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 season.
The association said in a release that multiple factors went into the changes including the timing of events, ensuring both events are in an arena setting, and allowing teams to compete in a clear process among others.
Most recently the 2024 SaskTel Tankard and Viterra Scotties were played in a twelve-team draw.
The 2025 Tankard and Scotties will be a part of the first-ever joint provincial championship that’ll take place January 20th to 26th, 2025 in Kindersley.
