Canada’s Farm Show: Day 2

Yesterday saw the kick off to Canada’s Farm Show presented by Viterra, which not only included several speakers in the Launch Pad, but also showcased a new product from Degelman Industries. It was also announced that the show will be moving to a much earlier date in 2025, March 18th to 20th.

Today is “innovation day” at Canada’s Farm show and will once again feature a number of guest speakers dedicated to agriculture investment. The Global AgTech summit starts at 10:15 this morning and is a discussion about the AgTech Accelerator program featuring panelists Mokah Shmigelsky, Kyle Folk, Sean O’Connor, and Bre Walkeden. These panelists will talk about their experiences with the program and what their vision for it will be.

At 10:45am, Chris Paterson will explore the state of AgTechs and how farmers are reacting to agriculture technology. At 11:15am, the “Truth About Ag” podcast will take place on stage featuring Justine Hendricks, Evan Shout, and Kristjan Hebert. The podcast session will be discussing the latest challenges and breakthroughs in agriculture and what some of the emerging trends are.

An investor panel will take to the stage starting at 1pm which will feature industry experts Leonardo Sabo, Juliana Green, and Anita Ludwar. This session will focus on AgTech startups and how farmers and other ag professionals can navigate this sector.

Starting at 1:30pm, nine Canadian, one Australian, and five United Kingdom AgTech companies will showcase their latest agriculture innovations to try and secure a deal with investors in the audience. It’s like the “dragons den” for the agriculture industry.

Finally, at 4pm, Kris Heksha of Red Leaf Pulp Alternative Fibre and Renewable Energy will speak about their latest technology and how producers can participate in their project.

Canada’s Farm Show runs from 9am to 5pm today at REAL District in Regina.
